Help Us Move Home!
Sadly we are unable to stay at our current home, and now need to undertake the huge task of moving over 200 animals to their new home, and preparing our new fields to ensure the animals will be safe and happy! We have set up a fundraiser to help towards the costs of securing the fields, making them comfortable for the animals, and the transportation of the animals to their new home.
The Fundraiser:
Whilst we have secured some new land, to make it a safe and happy home for our animals, we need:
Sturdy fencing, to keep the animals secure.
Shelters, to keep the animals warm and dry.
Specialist mud mats, to ensure there are firm and dry areas through all seasons.
Transportation, to move the animals to their new home.
The Budget:
The sanctuary is entirely run by volunteers - there are no salaries to pay, so all money raised goes directly towards caring for our animal residents.
Fencing: to fence the perimeters and to section the fields, the cost is £2000.
Shelters: to build large and sturdy shelters for our sheep and pigs, we need £3800.
Specialist mud mats: one square metre of matting costs £34. To create safe areas for the sheep and pigs to stand in all weathers, we need 250m², costing £8500.
Transportation: to cover fuel costs and hiring of animal transport vehicles will cost £1200.
Every penny we get counts, and donating to us allows us to keep helping our animals live their best lives, and means we can rescue even more in the future!
If you are able to donate £34 or more - the cost of 1 square metre of mud mats - then we would like to give you the option to have your name on a wooden “plaque” on one of our new animal shelters.
